REPORT ON NATIONAL NUTRITION WEEK CELEBRATION – 2026
On the occasion of National Nutrition Week 2026, the Swasthavritta and Yoga Department organized ” Cooking Without Fire Stalls ” on 2nd September 2026. The activity aimed to promote awareness regarding healthy, nutritious, hygienic and innovative food choices among students and staff.
Prior to the event, pamphlets were distributed to the Director Siddhant Darade Sir, Principal Dr. Jyotee Badave Mam, teaching staff , non-teaching staff , and students inviting them to visit the stalls and grace the occasion.
The programme was inaugurated by Director Siddhant Darade Sir and Principal Dr. Jyotee Badave Mam by untieing the ribbon. Their presence encouraged and motivated the students to participate enthusiastically.
More than 10 stalls were put up by the students. Various innovative and nutritious dishes were prepared and displayed by the students under the guidance of Dr. Simran Kankate Mam, Assistant Professor, Department of Swasthavritta and Yoga. The students showcased their creativity through a variety of healthy, attractive, and fireless recipes, including Ayur Bhel, Thai Guava Salad, Pomo Cups, Dolce Rosa Fragola, and several other creative preparations.
The students paid special attention to the taste, nutritional value, presentation, hygiene, and attractive serving methods. The use of eco-friendly cups, glasses, and serving materials added an environmentally responsible aspect to the activity.
The stalls received an enthusiastic response from the teaching staff, non-teaching staff, and students, who appreciated the taste, creativity, presentation, hygiene, and use of eco-friendly serving materials. The event successfully promoted healthy, nutritious, hygienic, and eco-friendly food choices, making the celebration of National Nutrition Week meaningful and engaging.
