What is POSH?
The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 provides a legal framework for the prevention and redressal of sexual harassment at the workplace.
The college follows applicable legal and regulatory requirements for prevention, prohibition and redressal of sexual harassment.

SHe-Box (Sexual Harassment electronic Box) is an online complaint management system of the Government of India for workplace sexual-harassment complaints.
Women can register a workplace sexual-harassment complaint through the SHe-Box portal and track the complaint through the system.
- Local Committee
Where applicable under the POSH Act, a complaint may be made to the Local Committee (LC) in circumstances covered by the Act.
If you are unsure which mechanism is appropriate, you may contact the college’s Internal Committee for guidance.
What Should a Complaint Include?
Where possible, provide:
- Date and approximate time of the incident
- Location or online platform where the incident occurred
- Brief description of what happened
- Name(s) of the person(s) involved, if known
- Names of witnesses, if any
- Relevant messages, emails, screenshots or other supporting information
- Any other information that may help in understanding the incident
You do not need to wait until you have all supporting information before seeking guidance.
Confidentiality
Complaints will be handled with appropriate confidentiality in accordance with applicable law and institutional procedures.
Information relating to a complaint should be shared only with persons authorized to handle the matter.
