Subject: Matoshri Ayurved College Successfully Organizes State-Level One-Day Seminar on “Charak Chintan”
Yeola (Nashik District), July 24, 2026: Matoshri Ayurved College, Dhanore, successfully organized a State-Level One-Day Academic Seminar titled “Charak Chintan” at S.N.D. Engineering College Hall, Babulgaon, Yeola, Nashik, on the occasion of the Second Death Anniversary of Late Vaidya Gadgil Sir.
The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, worship of Lord Dhanvantari, and the welcome of distinguished guests. The program was graced by the presence of Vaidya Anant Dharmadhikari, Vaidya Renuka Gayal, Vaidya Abhijit Saraf, Vaidya Sanjay Patil, and Dr. Jyotee Badave, Principal of Matoshri Ayurved College. Renowned Ayurvedic experts Vaidya Anant Dharmadhikari, Vaidya Renuka Gayal, and Vaidya Abhijit Saraf delivered keynote lectures during the seminar. The event was successfully organized under the guidance and support of Mr. Kishor Darade (President), Mr. Kunal Darade (Secretary), Mr. Rupesh Darade (Director), and Mr. Siddhant Darade (Director) of Matoshri Education Society.
The first academic session was delivered online by Vaidya Anant Dharmadhikari on the topic “Vyadhi Vinischaya” (Disease Diagnosis). He explained the systematic process of disease diagnosis in Ayurveda, emphasizing the assessment of disease nature, causative factors, dosha-dushya involvement, pathogenesis, and prognosis. His insightful presentation enabled students to gain a deeper understanding of the fundamental principles of Ayurvedic diagnosis.
The second lecture was delivered by Vaidya Abhijit Saraf on the topic “Dosha, Dhatu, and Mala”, one of the fundamental concepts of Ayurveda. He presented these principles from the Charaka Samhita in a scientific, logical, and practical manner, highlighting their significance in understanding Ayurvedic philosophy and clinical practice. His engaging lecture greatly enhanced the participants’ conceptual understanding.
The final academic session was conducted by Vaidya Renuka Gayal on “Fundamental Principles of Panchakarma.” She elaborated on the scientific importance of the five purification therapies—Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, and Raktamokshana—along with the significance of Purva Karma (pre-procedure), Pradhana Karma (main procedure), and Paschat Karma (post-procedure). The session concluded with an interactive discussion, during which she addressed numerous questions from the participants.
The seminar witnessed the enthusiastic participation of more than 300 undergraduate students, interns, postgraduate scholars, and faculty members from various Ayurved colleges across the state. Winners of the competitions organized during the event were felicitated by the distinguished guests.
The entire program was conducted smoothly with excellent coordination and effective anchoring. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Program Coordinator, Vaidya Zaheer Chaudhary, expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries, speakers, faculty members, students, and organizers for their valuable contributions.
The “Charak Chintan” seminar inspired students to develop a renewed interest in the study of the Charaka Samhita and encouraged a deeper, analytical understanding of the classical principles of Ayurveda. It also highlighted the continued relevance of Ayurvedic fundamentals in contemporary medical education.
