Programme Details

Matoshri Ayurved College, Dhanore, Nashik, organized the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) – National Pledge Against Drug Abuse on 18 August 2026 at 10:00 AM at Matoshri Ayurved College & Hospital, Dhanore, Nashik. The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India.

The programme was conducted with the objective of creating awareness among students and the youth about the harmful effects of substance abuse and encouraging them to contribute towards building a Drug-Free India.

Programme Highlights

The National Pledge Against Drug Abuse was administered in the presence of Dr. Jyotee Badave, Principal, Matoshri Ayurved College. Faculty members, officers and students participated enthusiastically and collectively took the pledge to stay away from substance abuse and encourage others to do the same.

A total of 145 participants participated in the programme, including 95 women and 50 youth.

Participants were also guided to take the NMBA e-Pledge through the official portal and download their participation certificates as part of the digital participation initiative.

Principal’s Message

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Jyotee Badave, Principal, emphasized that youth are the foundation of the nation. She encouraged students to stay away from addiction, protect their own health and contribute to the health and well-being of society. Medical students were also encouraged to actively support the drug de-addiction campaign as Nasha Mukt Mitras (NMMs) by using their knowledge and skills to create awareness in society.

Conclusion

The programme concluded successfully with a vote of thanks to all participants and the singing of the National Anthem. The initiative reflected the college’s commitment towards promoting a healthy, responsible and drug-free society.
